Thai food and more...

I really like asian food. I like my Chinese food. And I truly fancy Malaysian food...especially Thai style. Venturing around CT has been a lot of fun!
D & I found this really tasty Thai food place in New Haven, at the Yale campus - "Bangkok Gardens"...authentic. I know it is - I've grown up eating Malaysian/Thai food since my mom grew up in Malaysia. This place is good! BEST pad thai dish I've ever tasted!! And other good dishes as well, all for a very reasonable price.

The first time I went last weekend, it was 'parents weekend' at Yale so we saw a lot of proud parents with their children walking around the campus and also at this Thai place. A lot of the kids at this U come from very well off family backgrounds - you could tell just by observing - looking at their parents, and sometimes overhearing the conversations and exchanges, hearing about the parents' backgrounds (educational and professional)...quite an interesting thing.

I like people watching. It's really quite fun and interesting - observing people by themselves, with their families, with their friends...walking around the streets and such. Of course, I do it discretely, not staring at every pedestrian that crosses my path ;)

Went for Japanese tonight - good sushi place...their 'Daikon roll' was an avacado, sashimi roll - mmmm..... :) That with a bowl of udon-chicken-veggie soup + shrimp tempura ...perfect for a cool Autumn day. It's getting colder here. And it gets dark earlier and earlier. 5pm, it's still bright out, but by 6pm, it's darkening and by 6:30pm it's dark. After this weekend, it'll get darker even sooner, since it'll be the Daylight Savings this weekend (don't forget to 'Fall back' this Sunday).

I really like the Fall colours of the changing leaves here. There are sooooo many trees here and teh colours are beautiful! I try to dress like the colours of the trees to match this Autumn Air - wearing marroons, oranges, yellows, reds and browns in an earthy tone. I like.

I think I'll go watch some Simpsons now and eat some grapes and pineapples :)
