Heavenly Melody
Yesterday, during Sunday Service at T3C, this singing group from Taiwan performed some Christian gospel style music - Amazing voices, and truly heavenly (appropriate to the group's name, Heavenly Melody)...they sang 1 song during the English service, and I thought they were so great that I stayed for part of the Chinese service to listen to them again - where they sang more songs, in both Mandarin and English. Wow. If we had that every Sunday, it'd be amazing. I know it's not about how 'good' the band or singing is, but I find that it really makes a difference when you have amazing vocalists leading worship; it helps me focus more, rather than being distracted by off-tuned, off-beat singing, since I'm very sensitive to those things.
The rest of the day, I just spent hanging out in TO and went to Metro Square where they had a Taiwan Carnival and I got to taste a variety of Taiwanese delicassies :) mmm...
On another note, I just got an email that Kevin and Suzanna are engaged to be married next year after dating for 1 year...Here's a shout out and congrats to them!
Now, my thought is, how do you know someone is the right person?? do you just 'know'?? do you ever really 'just know'? and how much time does it take (mb on average) for one to know that? a few months, 1 yr, a few years, or many years? I've seen the whole span, from less than 6 months to more than 6 years...How do they know?? Is there an age where something just clicks for someone to say, hmm...it's time for me to get married? What an interesting topic to try to not think about too much...
