Yesterday was my 'day off'...I have no ICS class on Monday mornings for the month of August and I don't have a clinic shift in the evenings, so Mondays are off for me this month. I had a good weekend, and enjoyed the extra time off from the blackout; I ended up not doing any 'school' work and was not able to finish 2 assignments that were due on Friday...so I chose Monday to catch up. I was gonna use my 'day off' to do the work.
Less than half-way through working on cases in the afternoon, I was called in for an 'acute' case for one of my patients that came in...I was 'off duty', but felt responsible that I should also see him, and there was another intern there too, who let me know this patient came in. So I signed into clinic, saw the patient, prescribed a few things, and later, told him he may need to go to the ER if things got worse. By the time that was done, I had less than 1 hr left in the library to work on cases/assignments, and then just less than 2 hrs to have the files back at 8pm.
I didn't finish my work.
Got alot of groceries yesterday. Alot of snacks too...my dad kept adding snacks for me as a 'just in case' you need food (like in a blackout). Then went out to dinner with my dad at Chiu Chow Koon. It was good.
