Back at school for the rest of my reading week...yay :P -can you sense the enthusiasm in my thoughts/voice right now?? I enjoyed the few days that I had at home, mostly watching a lot TV, downloading mp3s to listen to, running errands...didn't get to chat with my bros & sis too much since they're packed with studying for mid-terms and assignments this week :[
I went with my mom to No Frills yesterday for the $1 event. Crazyness I tell ya, crazyness! We bought sooooo much stuff! And me being a 'poor' student with my 'rich' mom there (not really rich, but definitely more well off than I), I got soooo many groceries, snacks and miscellaneous stuffs, mostly all for $1 each. What a bargain! We bought so much, and of course I had to carry them all into the house when we got home.
With my 'free time' I watched Smallville yesterday (haven't seen it in a long time!) - and flipped between American Idol too...Anyhow, the Smallville episode was really good. I noticed some parallels of that plot with Christianity, and some of the phrases they were using like 'protect him and deliver him from evil' and Clark's biological father telling him he's the 'chosen one' among a race of 'flawed ppl', that he will 'conquer' ppl, and his struggles with that and understanding what his purpose is on earth in relation to humans. Did it seem to parallel, or am I just wayyyy off here?? Anyhow, it was really cool how they had Christopher Reeve there too, the original Superman!
I finally put together a cd of all only Jacky Cheung songs...yay! I have a number of his cds but they're all scattered everywhere, and wanted to have all the best and my favourite songs on once cd, so I made my own compilation :) I've listened to it 3 times in a row already! I tried to compile another cd of all just TVB show theme songs, but there was a glitch everytime I tried to write it. I stayed up til 4am trying to finish it, and it failed :( Hopefully next time I go home, it'll work. There's so many varieties of cds I want to compile for my own listening pleasure...if only I had all the time in the world!! (and/or all the money in the wolrd, and either buy all the cds, or buy a really nice/fast computer with cable or sth like that and cd writer, dvd player and what not, and more, stuff that I don't have a clue about)!! eheh.
So yah, I bought the Walk to Remember CD, but forgot to bring it back to TO with me :( I'll have to wait til Monday when my dad comes into TO, and I have dinner with him, and he can bring it :P
I get to work tomorrow after my seminar for just a couple hours, doing small jobs like filing, folding papers, stuffing envelopes for the school (ooh, the fun)...I'm glad though, cuz it's something to do, and I can make a wee bit of cash out of it :) It'll pay for maybe a meal or 2 outside. 4 yrs of University with an honours science degree in Biology and Biochem and 3 yrs of post-graduate studies so far so I can stuff envelopes...hmmm....I wonder. Well, it's something to do as I said, and it's good while I'm still a student ;) I actually wish this 'job' could be part-time all through school for me. I think I need to think about looking for a part-time job for 4th year.
