visiting home in June :)
I've been really nostalgic for the past little while. Thinking of home, the past, high school and university, CCNM and the friends there; wondering how they're doing even though I've lost touch with some of them (and pretty much all my high school friends).
It's a good time to go home for a visit to get my 'fix' I guess. I'm looking forward to going home in ON for a visit June 4-12 for sister's convocation and a vacation, and hang out with family and TO friends :) I'll get to be there for sister's b'day as well. I haven't found any good seminars or workshops or continuing education courses during the time I'll be there yet, so looks like so far I'll just be travelling for fun :P It forces me to just rest I guess. And surprisingly no one's getting married during that week I'm there. Not so many weddings this year for me compared to the past 2-3 yrs...
While I'm back at home I plan to hopefully cook at least one meal for my parents & siblings - so they can taste my famous 'Char's chicken' with coconut/ginseng rice...well, it tastes good to me but it turns out differently everytime I cook it, so who knows how it'll turn out then. I'm also planning to make a sunny cake (the secret family recipe cake) for my sis (and teach her in the mean time how to make it). mmm...
I'm prepared for Mother's Day this year :) Being away, I couldn't be so last minute and just get anything and give it to my mom on the day. I thought about waiting until June when I'm back visiting to give it to her, but it doesn't have the same 'umph' and thoughtfulness as giving it on time. So this year, I got her a gift last weekend (Apr29) and sent it out later by courier and from the tracking, it was received today. Whew...early...so she can open it today or Sunday, or whenever. I hope she likes it :]

Can't wait for you to come home man (and to try your chicken delight) :) And the sunny cake too! I've waited for the day to learn the art of sunny cake :P We have much to catch up on! If I get a good amount of my essay done tomorrow (hopefully all of it), I'll give you a call. And Mama's planning on opening your gift this Sunday :)
