spiders

I like Spider-Man. I really really like Spider-Man. I watched the first one again yesterday and the 2nd one a couple weeks ago. I've probably watched each one at least 3-5 times and could watch them again.

But, in real life - I don't like spiders...at all. My reaction when I see them is getting better and more calm but they still creep me out and make me all squirmish and give me the heeby-jeebies. I recall a moment last month while I was driving, there was this medium-sized black spider crawling across my dashboard window - on the inside. AHHHHHHH!!!! I screamed, while driving and had to try to remain calm to focus on driving...breathe, breathe. Then it disappeared. Shoot. Now I didn't know where it was so it could be crawling up my leg or arm at anytime now. Scream again and get all these 'psychological spider crawling feelings'. I get to a parking lot and try to locate it to rid of it. I saw it in the map book so I grabbed it and tried to flick it out and didn't see it there after, so it seemed clear and I was 'calmer'. About 1 week later, it's there again. This time, once I parked somehow I was able to get the spider OUT of the car. And then I had one in my apartment today that I managed to catch and throw outside. Apparently, BC is a haven for spiders and there's just tonnes of them everywhere once Spring/Summer comes around.

This remind me of this time in Hong Kong when I stayed at my Aunt's place one summer. It was about 12 midnight and I was headed to the washroom. I turned on the light and saw this HUGE-MUNGOUS, FAT spider the size of my fist. . I jumped back and held my hand over my mouth a screamed like crazy, freaking out. This spider was the biggest spider I had ever seen and it was black and fuzzy too. Eeeewww...Everyone else was sleeping except 1 of my cousins so I ran over to his room and knocked. He was about to go to sleep and pbbly thought I was being annoying. I told him about the spider and he said, 'so, just get rid of it...no big deal, I gotta go to sleep'. I replied 'Nonono, you don't understand, this thing is huge...You have to help me get. I can't do this'. He still didn't believe me so he went to the washroom to take a look and FREAKED out, jumped backward and held in a scream like I did :# Wah!! So after some panicking, he pulled together and got a bag and broom and was actually able to catch the spider in the bag, tie it up and take it out. I remember that I didn't sleep very well that night at all. Arachnophobia. again.
