haircut emotions ... :P : :-{ :-* 8 :( :'( :o ??? :) :D :P

yah, so after months of growing my hair to some long lengths, it felt heavy and drabby and time for a haircut. I really liked my hair and I always don't like getting it cut cuz I don't like letting go of my hair and giving control to someone else to cut it not knowing the outcome :P

I needed a change and so I went for the hair. So I drove myself to Richmond to a Chinese haircut place. While I was sitting there getting my hair cut and glasses off, I got so nervous and anxious about what was happening. It felt like all my hair was being cut off though I asked for keeping my hair LONG. Anyhow, it was agonizing cuz I was so worried that it would be way too short and that I would just look so bad and all my hair would be gone :(

Afterward, it looked ok when the hairdresser showed me my hair with the mirror and I had my glasses on. It still looked somewhat long but shorter than what I wanted. Driving home, I was so unsure how I looked and was so sad, crying on and off, missing my hair and regretting the cut :'(

Throughout the day I was up and down how I felt about the whole thing. So I went for a run for 45 min intense to get those happy endorphins pumping. I felt better after that, but still uncertain of the hair style.

Finally, by this morning after my own wash and style and wearing clothes that match the style better, I felt a little more confident and good about it and marched on to work. People noticed the new do and complimented. I double checked with someone who works here too to make sure she wasn't just being nice. So I felt a bit better and appreciate my new cut more. Definitely more style with the new layers and lighter feeling suited for Spring. humm...

So that's my haircut experience...what an up :) and down :( feeling that follows with the rest of my life at the moment :P
