Summer Village Festival
Who: AIYA, the GFCBWT, T&T Supermarket; Open and FREE for Everyone!
What: Local business vendors (market style), martial arts, live band, bridle fashion show, breakin’, and more.
When: June 28-29 (Sat/Sun), 10am-10pm
Where: T&T Supermarket parking lot at Y007-1 Promenade Circle (Centre St (by Hwy 7) & Bathurst) in Markham
Why: Raise money for SARS in Taiwan (funds will go to the Chinese Business Women of Taiwan: SARS program), and to increase business activity/exposure in the Toronto area for Asian/Chinese people, and to just get people out for the summer!!
How: The money is being raised through renting out the area to vendors who have paid a flat rate, so most of the money has already been raised. Now they just need people to come out and support this event. Raffles will also be held.
So come on out to the Summer Village Festival and have fun while supporting the local community as well as a community overseas. Please feel free to spread the word and invite your friends and family!
**My brother Ben is the president of the AIYA, so that's why I support this event even more and hope that it turns out to be a really successful event :) Good luck Ben!
