Thoughts on the Genesis Winter Retreat

A group of 12 Christians went up to Collingwood this past weekend from Fri.Jan31-Sun.Feb.3/03. We stayed in a chalet that was 1/4 mile from the slopes of Blue Mountain. It was a 3-level chalet with a bunch of 2-person room bunk beds, a kitchen, 2 washrooms, and basement with ping-pong table.

It was a very informal type of retreat where we could relax and hang out and fellowship with each other over sharing, singing, games, eating, snacking.
It was great! I had a really good time there - because it was a smaller group of people, I think it was easier for people to feel comfortable there, and there's more closer bonding with people (from my perspective).

I am really thankful for the time I spent there to get to know people better - a great bunch of people that God created individually and uniquely. And it was really nice to just get away from school and not think about school work etc for a weekend. I am also thankful for the time I had to reflect on my verse over the weekend, what it meant to me, and how it was challenging me (Isaiah 55:8-9,12 - I will post this later when I have my Bible on me). At the same time, it was beneficial for me to hear other peoples' sharings and thoughts on their verses that they had picked for that weekend - always edifying to listen and share.

Memory jog of the weekend:
