Seventh Generation

I've moved into my new place now :) My new place (the setup and layout) is similar to where I was renting before so it's not so foreign to me to be living where I am now. I'm liking it a lot so far and have used the pool/sauna/hot tub 1 time since moving in. Hopefully I'll get to use it this weekend and more often. There's a nice street behind the building where I see a lot of people go running in the morning and during the day, so as the weather's getting better, I'll be able to get out there and run...i.e. get back to an exercise routine! I've been so slacking and lacking in exercise lately :P

In cleaning my place, I decided to 'go green' and bought all environmentally friendly, biodegradeable cleaning products - mostly from Seventh Generation. There are no synthetic chemicals. Most of it is citrus oil based. It's great! It works well for cleaning all areas; it cuts through dirt and grease, smells good (no harsh chemical smell) and I can touch the solution and not worry about it seeping through into my body. And it's good for the environment - not just for now, but for generations to come, hence the name of this brand.

I wouldn't say I'm an 'environment-nut' but I am trying to be more conscious of contributing to the preservation of the environment, a gift from God, that we really should all be doing as much as we can to take care of it and not just leave it to someone else or the government to do something about it. Slowly, I am trying to incorporate more into what I do everyday to help a little; you know, the 3 R's etc...Those environmentally-friendly products I bought are more expensive, but it's worth it in many ways and if more and more people buy and demand those products, supply goes up and the costs will go down for everyone. We all have to start somewhere.
