halloween and fireworks...

I may have wrote about this last year, but here it is again. Halloween in BC is different than in ON. They celebrate with fireworks. Fireworks? why? Nobody can seem to really answer that question for me...'it's just the way it is'. I've always known halloween for 'trick or treating' with no fireworks, but here, last night driving home from work, I saw so many fireworks fired off everywhere, and even some more grand displays akin to one seen on July 1. Strange.

I arrived here in BC exactly 1 year ago yesterday (Oct 31/06). I remember clearly cuz I arrived on halloween night and there were fireworks. I thought they were celebrating my arrival!!...lol...I can't believe it's been 1 year already. Wow.
I wonder if anyone misses me in ON...well, I think my family does, and maybe some friends. I miss them. I do like living here so far; it's a beautiful city. And if I'm here for a bit, every year on my 'arrival' anniversary, I'll have fireworks to celebrate :P
