Friday Yin Yang and Weddings
Has it been 3 weeks since I've posted? wowzers... :O ! Now it's almost MAY! Can't wait for those May flowers to come after all these April Showers and indecisive weather.
Friday - ah my Friday routine...I don't work Fridays - sleep in. Eat. Watch TV. Then it's time for errands; whatever needs to be done, or whatever I feel like doing. Usually, I bake or cook something. Typically, cookies or rice crispies or a cake :) Then I go and check the oil in my car and fill it as needed - buy some oil at CDN Tire if needed. At that point, I usually get a soft cloth and wipe my car and the others if they look a little dirty....and get the urge to want to wash the cars right there, or bring them to a car wash. But since it's April, I'm holding back cuz you never know when it's going to rain. So yah, it's the yin-yang in me coming out...that is, the female and male sides of me (as defined typically by society and traditional roles). It feels cool :) And then Friday nights I usually go to small group/fellowship. There was no news about this week, so I'll chill out at home.
Yesterday a school friend (from CCNM) emailed me to say he proposed to his gf and they're getting married next summer/fall! Wow!! Congrats to him! Craziness of how things just happen and you never know! I still remember hanging out with him and a bunch of my friends throughout school since our 1st yr in TO - back then he was single (and ready to look for a gf) and wondering what God had in store for him and when it would happen, and then he finally met the girl of his dreams 2 years later into school. We were in 3rd year at the time, and she was 1st year. I knew they matched each other well. I'm sure they knew and know now too. And now, they're getting married! woah!
This past week I mailed in my reply card to KevL&Suz's wedding this summer. They're going to have a live swing band at their wedding! Perfect! I love to swing dance :)
I also got my invitation to KellyM&Rob's wedding this week. Talk about weddings!? I guess I'm at "that age" when 'everyone is getting married'! (except me, and some others, but you know what I mean!)...of course, I'm going to reply YES to go to their wedding...I'm in the bridal party as a bridesmaid :) Yay!! I picked up the dress yesterday from Firenzia with Kelly and Jennifer. It's a very pretty dress, but so far, I don't think I look that great in it now. I think I'll need to work out, and get the dress altered (mostly hemmed), and mb I'll look better in it once my hair and makeup are done.
Hmmm...what would my dream wedding be like IF I were to get married? Yes, I've thought about it a little - what girl doesn't?? But I think I'll have to keep that to myself...
