Easter Weather: Even though it's raining outside right now, it was a very nice and sunny day out today. Beautiful day - the day that is reflective of Christ being resurrected!! I've noticed since my later high school days, that every year, Good Friday is gloomy and rainy, and then Easter Sunday is sunny and bright out...Is this just coincidence, or is this a way that represents what happened over 2000 years ago. The day that Christ died (Good Friday) was a day where all the sin in the world was put upon one person, and at that time, the clouds grew dark, became thunderous and rained. But then, a few days later (Easter Sunday), Christ rose, which is a joyous and triumphant thing, in which it could only be a bright sunny day!! Also, I think in general, Sundays are mostly nice, sunny, beautiful days. Has anyone else ever noticed these correlations of Easter, and Sundays? (I know some friends have noticed this when I mentioned this on Friday, but I think others think I'm weird sometimes when I talk about this)...
Mac: I went to McMaster U to study with my sister today. I was studying Bot Med and Physiotherapeutics (exam on Tues), while she studied her stuff. We went to Thode Library. Man...has it been a while since I've been at Mac. Everything's different. New residence bldg, new tech bldg, expansion to ABB, student centre...driving around was a bit different too. But the inside of Thode Library is still the same. It was a weird feeling being there and studying. I used to study there alot in 1st and 2nd year way back when, and would take breaks in the snack/break/washrooms area near the entrance and chat with friends there. Now, they have the 'Chaplaincy centre' there with free (donations asked for) snacks (cookies, juice, coffee), so that was nice. And right now, my sister told me that's one of the main Libraries to study at cuz the Health Sci Lib is restricted access w/that whole area because of SARS prevention/control. craziness. 3rd and 4th year was mostly Health Sci Lib for me. Mills Library was sporadic, whenever I felt like studying there.
Dinner: We stayed there til 9pm cuz we thought dinner would be ready late since mom was cooking a Turkey dinner, and didn't start til almost 6pm, and in the past we knew that it took a long time for dinner to be ready...We got home at about 9:30pm (kinda trafficky with the poor weather conditions - really rainy), and to our surprise, the food had already been ready since like 8:45pm! oops... Anyhow, it was okay, and we just sat together and ate dinner. It was good :) And I got some leftovers to bring back to TO for some extra meals this week ;)
Chinese TV: After that, I just vegged and watched some Chinese TV - there was a concert on with all different old/long time HK singers performing some of their best songs. I loved it. I don't know why, but I love watching good Chinese TV shows and concerts. And it's good cuz it helps my Chinese improve a bit since I don't practice much or at all when I'm at school, and I know my Chinese speaking skills are going way down :( I need to practice more!!! The Chinese movie on TV (Omni2) was really interesting and pretty good, with Ekin Cheung and Zheung Pak Zhi - a twisted and confusing plot/storyling about having a second chance in life, going back to change what has happened to correct things and prevent deaths; and that if it's meant to be (with love, that is), it'll happen somehow.
