Sugar/Carbs --> Fat
Do you ever notice how some candy and food products like to advertise that they are 'Fat-Free' or 'Low in Fat'...? I think it's funny! and it's an illusion too! Yes, they may be fat-free or low in fat...but do people (consumers) realize that even though there's no fat in the food, you can STILL get FAT from eating those things...Sugar and carbohydrates (from say processed snacks like crackers or sth) are converted into fat in the body when consumed, particularly when the body doesn't need those extra calories for energy expenditure (i.e. when the 'eater' is sedentary and just sitting around)...And also remember that although fats in general are not good to consume in high amounts, which pertains more specifically for saturated fats (the 'bad fats'), there are polyunsaturated fats/essential fatty acids (the 'good fats') that in even higher amounts are good for you and have definite health benefits. So it just depends on the source and what kind of fat it is.

That's my 'health thought' for the day.
